Volunteer2Serve&Give currently on our National Sock Campaign Tour that will benefit the Homeless Shelters or a Non Profit Organization that provides housing to the homeless. We currently traveled to Charleston, SC and visited Carolina Youth Development Center which is a Non Profit Organization that provides housing to teens ages 6-18 years of age. We will continue to travel to different cities to provides socks. Our goal is to collect and donate 3000 pair of socks. We currently have 4 businesses that are servicing as drop off locations in Charlotte to help us collect socks. Volunteer2Serve&Give its 2nd Annual Fun Day with honoring our Seniors. On Saturday, March 29, 2014 we had a Fun Day of Bingo at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Monroe, NC. We sponsored a Fun Day of Bingo with refreshments and prizes for our Seniors . The teens and the parents assisted us at our community event. Thanks to Tracy at Kindred Care for allowing us to come and volunteer our services.
Volunteer2Serve&Give hosted its 2nd Annual Vision Board Brunch on January 11, 2014 at Madison Coffee House. Our Guest Speaker was a 2012 Paraolympician who was in the Olympics in London England name Cece Mazyck . The event was uplifting, inspiring and empowering.
Volunteer2Serve&Give First Annual Sock Drive for the Homeless Men's Shelter in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, December 13, 2013. We provided Socks, Dunkin Donuts and Coffee to the Men's Shelter in Charlotte. We served 300 men at this event. Thanks to CitiTrends, Walgreens, Kut Masters, Dunkin Donuts and individual donors for making this day possible. Volunteer2Serve&Give will host its 2nd Annual Toiletry/Diaper Drive. The diapers/wipes will benefit Single Moms and the Toiletries will benefit the Seniors at a Nursing Home. We have partnered with 4 Small Businesses that will serve as drop off locations. They are Edward Jones Financial, Monroe Vacuum and Supplies, Sensations Hair Studio all in Monroe,NC and Medcare Pharmacy in Indian Trail, NC. The toiletry&diaper drive was held on October 26, 2013. Five single moms received 250 pampers and 8 packs of wipes along with pizza and our Volunteer2Serve&Give wristbands. The Moms were happy and grateful for the items. Thanks to WBTV-NEWS for providing live coverage story about the Single Moms Diaper Drive.
Volunteer2Serve&Give Co-Host and served as an Ambassador for Charlotte's Giving Boutique at QDD Studios on September 7, 2013. We received the Proclamation from the Mayor's Office from the City of Charlotte and September 7, 2013 was declared as the Giving Boutique Day. We were able to provide clothing, toiletries, shoes, food, photography and music to 250 families from the Charlotte Housing Families. The event was from 9AM-6PM. The families were excited and enjoyed the event. We were able to get news coverage from WBTV NEWS and WGIV 103.3FM Radio. We want to thank all our Donors, Sponsors and Volunteers who help make the Giving Boutique a successful day.
Volunteer2Serve&Give host its 2nd Annual Back to School Explosion on August 26, 2013 at Winchester Avenue. We served 80 kids with back to school supplies, refreshments and candy. The kids and the parents were very grateful for the supplies.
We are proud of our Military Armed Forces and on Monday, May 27, 2013 in Honor of Memorial Day Volunteer2Serve&Give gave away "FREE" Chocolate Covered Pretzels and Lemonade to all Military Branches who served in the Military or who was retired from the Military. We recognized them for their SERVICE for our FREEDOM.
Volunteer2Serve&Give gaved away five "FREE" tickets to our First Annual Vision Board Brunch on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the beautiful Hilton Charlotte University Place Hotel from 11AM-3PM. To qualify the indiduidals had to volunteer in the community during the Holidays.
In the Spirit of the Holidays Volunteer2Serve&Give sponsored one family and they received a Christmas tree, wreath, stocking, clothing, playstation game and toiletry items. We selected a single Mother who has 3 teens to be our Recipient for the year 2012. Congratulations to the Bivens' Family.
